Well minus the fine details.Įssencially if you are to do this at all it could be done with a few minor script edits and variable usage. I kinda explained how to do it with events. scripts used:Galvs Animated BattlersYanfly Engine Ace - Ace Battle Enginesprite used is based on Holders animated battler spritesheetsbut Im having a litt. With scripts however I would have it save the troop ID to a variable (and the health aswell if desired), create an event/ use an event that was already set up, move this event or create it a t a point within a valid area(this could be determined with region IDs or maybe tile IDs) and then have it start moving towards the player at a set speed until those conditions are met. ![]() I don't know how to do it cleanly if at all with events. I personly was better with scripts than events so I would choose that path. this method would again require atleast a common event though may be more effecient with another script for the escape method. The other way that I enterpret what you are trying to do is that after running an evvent monster is spawned that will follow you until either it catches you or certain conditions are met such as running into a safe area. with this method if you wish to keep the health values then you will need to set those to variables as well and have them be returned upon encounter. Effectivly making it so that you encounter the enemy again. something like if you escape then set the troop ID to a variable and have that called if you proc an encounter. To do what you want to do would probably require a short script to edit the escape and encounter methods. So kind of like the air boss in FF 6? But instead of following you it just was encounterable with a non regenitive health pool. You have an overall objective of course but there are lots of other things to do, and when I say quests it's not all fetch that for a random dude and get this, there are a lot of different moral choices often and people will react to your actions, if you act like a douche then you won't get your reward and the person will hate you for the rest of the game, but I'm getting a little off track here I hope this was enough information I'm looking forward to your feedback! Simply upload a file and you will get a link. When choosing local area you can choose between walk around, pick flowers (for alchemy) or hunt (for materials). zip The quick uploader is for uploads that you can upload on the fly without ever having to reload the page. The local area has like 4-10 maps where you can explore and find side dungeons and quests and interesting people. I have a system where you choose either if you want to go to an area nearby or go directly to a town, the first time you go to a town you walk on the world map the route to the town and there are random encounters with monsters fitting to the area you're walking over on the way, but after the first time it instantly warps you there. ![]() Actually it's pretty open world and you can pretty much go to any town or dungeon you want to right after getting out of the starting town, but the monsters are stronger in some areas (enemy levels are provided when choosing areas).
